How to know whether a home theater system can be connected to your t.v.?

I was planning on buying a home theater system and I came along a Panasonic. I have not bought the product yet, because i would like to know whether I can hook it up to my t.v. to watch my regular shows with the home theater system. I have add the URL to the tech specifications to the product and I would like someone to just confirm that this is possible, thank you!!

I have a 42'' vizio and i am also with dish network

You will also need to provide the info for your tv. But most likely if your tv was made in the last 10 years, you should have no problems.
