How to lose 20 pounds over summer vacation?

So my summer vacation is around 12 weeks long. I want to lose around 20 pounds maybe less. I want to diet and workout almost everyday(5 to 6 days) a week. I have know idea were to start, I don't want to count calories. Is there any diet plans or fitness plan you guys would recommend for me to do? I am 5'7 and around 140 pounds, I am very athletic and will just be getting done with soccer season.
 
Daily use to go gym with best exercises. Along with control our diet.
 
There should be no specific "diet" to follow. There is a reason why 95% of diets fail, it's basically a hoax so people can stay fat and buy medicine and supplements for it; at least in America that is.

Burning fat is a simple equation:

Do any workout you want, as long as it's high intensity, not boring cardio. High intensity exercises, such as sprinting, raise metabolism and burn calories even after your workout, thus burning more calories then cardio.

Food: Eat lots of protein, practically with EVERY meal. It will keep you full, preserve muscle mass, which burns fat on its own, and raises your bodies temperature due to it's high thermic effect (faster metabolism). Eat carbs, but mostly during the daytime and afternoon, so you can have energy and workout efficiently, not sluggishly. Avoid it at night, your body will just store it as fat. Avoid all sugars! If you have to eat it, it should be after a workout due to glycogen depletion, and your body can use the sugar. Fat should be taken in moderation, and make sure the majority in unsaturated.

There are good supplements as well, but you have to research carefully. Also remember, overall equation in losing weight is 70% diet, 25 % exercise and 5% sleeping/supplements.

Cut all junk food.
Do cardio
Strength training.
Swimming and Running helps for toning.
 
I lost 20 pounds by eating no sweets or things like rice, bread, tortillas, and other things like them while running a bunch. You could maybe use this as your diet and fitness plan or just part of it
