how to make a shared internet connection faster?

hi i have a wireless router which it shares internet between a laptop and a pc, i use the laptop for gaming so i need a faster speed than the pc, is there anyway to slow down the pcs internet to speed up the laptops?

If the PC is connected to your router through wired, it already has has a faster connection than anything on wireless, thus your laptop. To configure bandwith allocation for a computer, you need a very powerful router. A regular LinkSys/Netgear won't cut it.

What you might want to check is the speed of the internet you are getting from your ISP. Chances are its an external network thing. You can check it here:
