We are selling our home and one of the things on the list was to see where the exhaust was venting. My husband took the cover off of the exhaust but he was unable to determine where it was venting to. Is there a way to check? I didn't know if there was some kind of powder you could put up there and see if it was going out a pipe outside or what? We just want to make sure it's not blowing up in the attic. There is a tiny crawl space hatch for the attic and I don't think there is anyway my hubby can get up there since he's like 6'5". Any suggestions would be appreciated.

spray some stinky perfume into the fan inside the house. if you smell it at the opening; it,s working.

The only way to know is to get into the attic and follow the duct.
