Well, I traded in my small toyota for a big suv, a ford expedtion to be exact which almost twice the size of my old car haha.
The problem is that before I could park into any spot without trying, just relying on mirrors. Now, I can't parking in a spot that is 5 feet bigger than the truck. I kinda forgot that I even knew how to park so well in the first place since I have trouble getting into almost any spot.
What's the trick to parking these big suvs? My dad told me to use the same technique I used in the small car, but it's not really working for me.

What I try now that SOMETIMES works is I get about 1 foot or so away from the car next to the spot. I reverse until about 1/4th of my car passes the rear bumper of the car in front of the spot, then turn my wheel all the way to the right, get about 3/4th of the way into the spot, and then finally cut the wheel the other way, but sometimes that just doesn't work.
What should I change in my technique? Should I straighten the wheel at some point before cutting the wheel to finally get in?
There has to be a better way to get into small spots, please help me! will rate all answers stuff.
