no, you cant. what you can do is sign into facebook, set all privacy options so that no one can view your postings. DELETE EVERYTHING< EVERY application, every friend, EVERYTHING.

as far as your personal info, change it, change your last name on your profile, change your birthday change as much as you can.

you cant permanently delete the account. it will be there waiting for your return, unless you also change you personal info on facebook, to a fake e-mail.

After deactivating through the normal method, I am still able to reactivate it by logging in as usual. I don't want this, & I want to permantly remove all my records from Facebook, so that I won't be able to reactivate it. Is this possible to do? If so, how?

1. When you're on your facebook page, scroll down right to the bottom and click on "Help Centre"

2. Under the "Using Facebook" section click on "Privacy".

3. Under "Privacy policies and internet safety" click on "Deactivating, deleting and memorializing accounts", then you can figure out the rest...

Hope I helped :)

Facebook makes it pretty easy to deactivate your account which will temporarily hide your information. However, if you want to permanently remove your information, the "permanent delete" option is much harder to find. This article will cover two easy ways to erase your Facebook account so you can Quit Facebook forever. http://www.wikihow.com/Permanently-Delete-a-Facebook-Account
