How to reduce driving ban for driving whilst disqualified?

I got band for drink driving for 1 year.. and before you ask, I went out partying with mates the night before and got pulled over on my way to work the next day. iv been driving for 3 years with no points.iv been on my ban for 2 months now and completed a drink driving course. i have been offered and new job but i need a car to get there every day.the job starts in may 2011 so in that time i will have then done 6 months of me ban. is there any way i can get my license back then and how?????
