With the unit in standby press the play/pause button repeatedly to scroll through the choices i.e. (day of week, hour, minute or 12/24 hour) when the correct choice flashes release the play/pause button and turn the left hand knob to the correct selection then press the play/pause button again and repeat until all are set.
