How to set wallpapers for lg ally without cropping?

I want to set a whole picture as the wallpaper, and it's making me crop the picture before using it. when i try to expand it so it covers the entire picture, it only lets me make it cover the width, not the length. so the picture ends up being extremely zoomed in and looks stupid.

Is there any way to fix this? Or a way to put a WHOLE picture on there without having to crop part of it and have it really zoomed in?
