How to stop photoshop cs4 from updating?

After i use photoshop cs4 like 3 times, it asks me to put in my serial code, and when i do it says it is wrong, then i have to go get some cracked code cause mine isn't working anymore and it keeps telling me to put a brand new serial code in

I heard that you have to make it so adobe doesn't update it.. how would i do this.
 
call adobe if its a legit copy, get them to fix it,
if its not a real legit copy, then tsk tsk. karma
