How to upgrade firmware to 4.2 on jailbroken iphone?

i just bought a iphone(used) from my friend. and it is jailbroken and its version is 3.2. i dont know how to jailbreak a iphone, i only know how to use it. but most of the itune apps wont work in this version. now i want to upgrade it into 4.2 which have to be jailbroken unless it will be locked. how can i do that? pls if it possible give me a link of video tutorial with ur answer

If its the original iphone 1 then your screwd. But if its the iphone 3g or up the here are the steps. First plug it in the computer then start up itunes. Restore your phone then wait.... Then once its done click the update button then your done my friend just like that.
