How to use a decrypted DVD?

I've recently decided to get into making fanvids. I've done my research and downloaded all of the necessary software- Sony Vegas, MPEG stream and the like. I also got Decrypter and have managed to decrypt my DVDs, but I don't know how to save the clips and trim them and such. Basically, I decrypted the DVD and I don't know what to do with it. Help me out?
