How to use bluetooth dongle without bluesoliel?

I have a cheap usb bluetooth dongle that came with bluesoliel software drivers. I loaded up the software, and the best it can do is recognize my hardware. The bluesoliel software is crap, their customer support wants you to pay to upgrade, and the entire bluesoliel experience sucks. I would much rather skip their software altogether and let windows control the device, similarly to if the device was built in. I heard this was possible by reading several pages (i have done research) but I haven't hit a solution yet.

Do you know of a way to bypass the software and let windows control it? Also, I heard something about windows stack being related to this, but i have no idea what that is haha.

Thanks,
