For those of us who are big fans of Gus Johnson's energetic play-by-play style, it's always a special treat when he gets to call a game with a thrilling finish.
Johnson wasn't behind the mic for Sunday's USA-Brazil Women's World Cup quarterfinal unfortunately, but a clever homemade YouTube video provides fans a taste of what the call might have been like had he been in the booth.
As good as Johnson is at moments like these, however, the ESPN team of Ian Darke and Julie Foudy certainly did Abby Wambach's goal justice. Said Darke, "Can you believe this? Abby Wambach has saved the USA's life in this World Cup." Indeed.

The call itself actually came from Adam Morrison's game-winning 3-pointer in Gonzaga's 64-62 victory over Oklahoma State in 2006. Substitute Megan Rapinoe's name for Morrison and header for 3-pointer, and Johnson's voiceover would work astonishingly well for the U.S. soccer victory too.
