How well does the Blackberry Torch handle apps?

In a couple months I will be switching to a smart phone. After spending the last half year researching and talking to smart phone users I've decided I want to go with the Blackberry Torch, but I can't seem to find any information on how well it handles apps.

I have a few apps in mind. Some examples would be GasBuddy and Foodspotting.
