Do I just feed her more dry food? She is 5 months old.
I've been keeping dry food in her bowl, and giving her half a can of wet twice a day. Can I stop giving her a can of wet, and simply increase the dry food? She always eats the wet food right away.

gradually feed her dry food. i have been through this problem with my puppy i switched him from soft food to hard food and it gave him diarreaha. i took him to the vet and he said that i should gradually switch foods. when you feed her put in a little bit of hard food to get her stomach used to it, and gradually put more hard food and less soft food with every meal.

The way you are feeding her now is PERFECT and you should continue to do it this way. Canned food is important in a cat's diet. It is more nutritious, has less calories and contains water which is essential to good health. Read about it:

If you don't like my advice because you truly believe that she should JUST be eating dry food at least keep feeding her the way you are until she is a year old and still growing.

It has been found that cats that eat only dry are very dehydrated. as cats don't naturally drink water the only water that they will drink and any fluid they will recieve is through wet food. Get a very good cat foor....wellness is very good and keep the same feeding scdule ll their lives. He will be healthier because of it...you should also look in to the raw food diet. Do some research, you will know what;s best for the cats.
