...wire-bound networking technologies in future? Wireless technology is constantly improving in the areas of range, throughput, bandwidth, and accessibility. For instance, it has been claimed that the development of the WiMAX standard (IEEE 802.16) could result in almost blanket high-speed wireless coverage of the United States within the next 10 to 15 years. Do you think about wireless networking will completely replace wire-bound networking technologies in the future ???

Wireless will grow more and more popular and of good use for households.
But, it can never replace wired networking especially when the connection MUST stay up at all times.
You see Wifi is prone to interference and can break anytime. when you're watching a video or browsing a webpage, that is OK, you can just reconnect, but when you're making an online payment for example, that would not be OK, and cannot be undone or refreshed.

Besides, BIG companies with big server rooms cannot rely on wireless connectivity among their equipment...

No, for LAN parties, businesses etc. , cable is a lot more reliable. Even though wireless speed/range is improving, cable speed is safer and more secure, plus cable speed will also improve with time as well as wireless.

i think it's likely to replace wires & it's actually cool :)
but may not be good for human health as according to physics, excessive radio waves can cause heat to cells or even mutate/kill cells :(
