HP mobo changed, now a different serial number?maybe preventing me making

recovery discs? Ok, my first motherboard died on me. Shortage of the power supply. Got another motheboard online and made sure it had the same number (449903-01) and put it in.. I recovered with my recovery partition and since then, I can't use my DVD/CD drive. It opens and closes like normal. When I put a cd/dvd in, i get diagonal lines on my screen. When I try to make the recovery cd's, it says that the discs couldn't be written to. when I went to hp.com, i found something that shocked me. I clicked on the "guess my product" or whatever, installed what was needed, and found out the model number, s/n, and p/n were all different. is this preventing me from making my recovery discs? maybe hp found out that its the wrong mobo and said no, you can't make recovery cds. Help?!?!?!?!?!!??
