Hp Pavilion Dv6150us CD/DVD wont work?

So I have recently upgrade to Windows 7 on my Hp Pavilion and updated all the drivers and what so not, my CD/DVD drive was working kinda iffy before so I thought it would be better on Windows 7 boy was I wrong. I cant uninstall Windows 7 back to Vista because it wont recognize that there is a CD, what I really mean to say is I pop the CD in and it just spins and skips around...never does it show up on my computer at all. Ive tried everything from restarting the computer in safe mode, editing the registry, and even uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. Nothing works and I am getting every upset because HP isn't helping me at all with the problem. If anyone has had the same problem and knows the solution or just may know what to do period please help me I would appreciate it a lot.
