hughes net satellite internet?

ok we just got hughes net last night and it worked great and then we had an rain storm last night and all day today it has gone slower than our dial up (which is what i'm on now) but anyways could the ice have caused our satellite not be able to pick up a signal, or just screw it up some how?? please help
oh yeah i live in wisconsin so the rain froze to ice which covered everything...

unfreeze the satellite with hot water restart your modem and if unsuccessful call hughes net [which is a real pain ]
