My 2006 Hummer H3 is having some problems during a cold start. When I start the car, it revs up, then tries to maintain an idle, but the vehicle starts to "snub out". It catches itself a few times and revs up around 1500, then drops again. It might rev one more time, but usually after the second it snubs out... After that, I try to restart it and it just turns, it won't fire up... I assume that's because it flooded itself, when I push the pedal to the floor, it starts...
This only happens after the cars been sitting for more then 6 hours, anything less then that, it idles fine.
One other note. A few weeks ago the engine light came on after a 4 hour drive on the highway, my mechanic said it was coding "misfire". He did a compression test, which turned out to be fine and replaced the spark plugs... now I'm having this problem
