Without the context, it is very difficult to answer this question. For example, if you were in a sinking boat with your spouse and mother, and one had to go overboard for the other two to survive, who would you sacrifice? Or, if my spouse wanted me to take her to dinner at the same precise time as my mother, who would I choose to take to dinner? Got it?
