Hunters, what's a good mammal to hunt that I can introduce to my country?

Hello everyone. I'd like a medium sized (5 to 20lbs) that I can introduce to my property for hunting reasons. I live on a caribbean island, and like many of these islands, the mammal fauna is very limited. The only native mammals are 9 bat species, a giant rice rat (now probably extinct) and an opossum species closely related to the Virginian opossum. The other animals include Agoutis (a large Guinea pig like Rodent), feral hogs and the indian mongoose (introduced). Anyway, the agoutis and hogs are all found in the interior rainforest which happen to be nature reserves, so I can't hunt there. They aren't found in around where I live. The only animals I usually hunt are the mongoose and opossums. But the mongoose is so quick and small that It isn't much fun. They're a terribly invasive species, so I usually just catch them in traps or bait them. As for the opossum. Those here are smaller and usually grow to 5lbs. They're also quick tempered and HARD to find. They've learned to get by by living on EXTREMELY high trees, thus making it hard to hunt them. I was thinking of introducing a mammal on my property which is easily adpatable, breeds quickly and is resistant to predation by small mammals. I was thinking of rabbits. Do you think they're good? How do I ensure that they survive in the wild to create a thriving population?
@ SUPER HUNT. None of these would fit in. Especially raccoons and coyotes. I'd like the animal to be a herbivore or atleast an omnivore.
@ lana, the thing is. We don't have any native aboreal mammals. Most of the mammals are non-native and doing fine. Look at humans. We're non-native to many places.
