Orlando, I got Charlie as a Cat 2 and it knocked our power out for a week and tore some shingles off the roof. The thing you really have to worry about are tornadoes. It all depends on how well the house is built too, many of the older ones took a lot damage. I was joking about the cat 5 lol. But a cat 1 or tropical storm is nothing. Watching all the people freak out over it is funny.
Cat1 is nothing. Tropical Storms are simply a few gusts and substantial rains. Tornadoes are about the only worries of the whole thing. The way people act about hurricanes on here is pretty funny.
"I decided I will go outside during the hurricane" lawl. been there done that many times.
I went out when Charlie's eye hit, that was fun stuff. 115+ mph winds, leaves and branches and crap blowing all over the place, you could barely stand up in it. I'm heading over to my buddy's house tomorrow and we are going to jet ski out on his lake, should be pretty fun
Bullshit, we had a tornado watch, but nothing actually touch down.
The news and some Florida residents are full of shit, it's a tropical storm, not a Category 5 hurricane, it's a shitload of rain, and an occasional gust of wind that would make a duck tilt a little... It's pretty much done here, and my backyard flooded , that's about it.
Im telling you this thing is gonna pass through florida, sit in the ocean for 5 days, change direction come back through florida then sit in the golf and repeat.
Hey looks like I was partially right...The news station is reporting that theres chances of the tropical storm going through florida, then being blown back through.
