I accidentally put my truck in reverse while moving?

i wasn't paying attention ;/ it wasn't down hill or anything but it was jammed in reverse for 2 seconds while moving before i braked it.of course i heard some grinding
It wouldnt move so i ran home to call a tow truck when i ran back to the truck it worked again

anyways could there be any serious damage from this? and if so how much would it cost to get this checked out.

it is rear wheel drive

well if its still working now your probably fine. If you still want to get it looked at a lot of transmission places will take it on a test drive for free, but thats all it is a test drive, for a diagnostics test the place I was gonna go to charged $50.
