Write because it's a passion, not because you want to publish it and become famous.
Having that thought in the back of your mind does not allow your own creativity flow, or at least you'd be technically writing for an audience and thinking about what they'd want to read.
Anyways, my advice is to first find something to write about. Then you're free to take whatever step you want. There is no true formula to writing a book.
