then, is this possible? Basically I am asking if I can travel to Germany with only 1 or 2 months left on my passport
I am asking this question for my father who is a German national, we were travelling recently to mmet up with family but the "Cloud" stopped all our plans so we need to re-book, but his passport expires in november and dont want the hassle of getting a new one at the moment

No.

Most countries require that your passport be valid for about 4-6 months from the time of entry. I believe Germany is 4, but check with the embassy.

Yes, but if you are going to be there longer than the time before your passport expires, you will need to renew your passport first. It isn't difficult and you get get the forms on line

Your not suppose to need a passport in europe, a id card can suffice, or a drivers licence, if u have nether then u need ur passport

The difference between April & November is more than 2 months. Maybe you need to get a health checkup before you leave o.o (which is possible)

No. You must have at least 6 months of validity on your passport to travel. He must get a new one. Otherwise, he won't be able to even get on the plane.
