I am confused about mingling mii's on the wii.?

So apparently you can "mingle" your mii character, but I am confused with what that means exactly. Right now I have a wii and my boyfriend also has a wii. I THINK mingle means I can see my mii on my own wii ... then when I go to his house my mii will be on his wii as well? If so, do my scores also stay up to date on both consoles such as my wii sports scores?
 
no its not like that. Mingle means your mii will be in other peoples mii parades. It will be in your bfs wii if he has mingle turned on and added each other as wii friends
u could try saving your mii to your wiimote from mii channel and maybe that will work
