be able to kill? Such as stepping on a ant, swatting a fly, feeding my fish live food, crushing the pest snails in my aquarium...that seems to be what people are implying. That would be problematic.

Not everyone who follows Buddhism worries about those things. Not even all, especially American, are vegetarians. Over time as you grow though, you naturally stop killing things so much as you become a more compassionate person. It can be pretty gradual, though.

If you give your life to Christ. When the savior returns there will be no death. The lion will lye down with the lamb. Which means your won't eat live food.

The real question is have you killed before? If so, im sorry buddy but religion cannot help you... join Atheism

That depends on what branch of Buddhism you join. Some do kill insects others do not.

well, if you were a christian, the bible gives you an all clear to sell your daughter into slavery. you can use that money to pay for your fishfood.

No, that is not true. Buddhist aren't even required to be vegetarians.

No. Zen Buddhism (and zen Buddhism only) I believe allows murder in certain circumstances.

It depends on which denomination of Buddhism you choose to believe in. Christianity has Catholicism, Protestants, Quakers, Methodists etc.

There are many subdivisions within Buddhism, but most can be classified into three major branches: Theravada ("Way of the Elders"), Mahayana ("Greater Vehicle") and Vajrayana ("Diamond Vehicle").

Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism went their separate ways in the first century AD. Mahayana then subdivided into several diverse schools, such as Zen, Pure Land and Nichiren, many of which flourish today in East Asia. The Vajrayana Buddhist tradition is an esoteric sect that is predominant in Tibet and Nepal.

You will have to research into each one and decide which is right for you.
