...if I get it with these programs? I hope to buy my own computer soon. Here is a list of the stuff I am looking for:
1. I want Windows Vista (Have been using it for almost a year and haven't had many problems)

Now for the programs I wish to buy
1. Adobe Photoshop
2. Microsoft Office (I think that includes Word, Excel Access, Powerpoint, and all sorts of others) I'm not into that so I wouldn't know if office had all of those programs or not
3. Imovie

and can someone suggest a good antivirus?

Thanks
Ok, now that I know Imovie is for Macs only, Is there software like it that can be run on windows?
Where can I get GIMP, Open Office, and all of the other newfangled things you guys seen to be talking about

hey man I have good news, you can easily get all of those programs on the internet for free. Warning, this is illegal (although hundreds of thousands of people do it and no one gets caught). Except imove which is made for macs only

a good anti virus would be norton anti virus

windows vista comes with most computers, but separeetly its about $200, photoshop is about $600-$700, Microsoft office is about $140 (student version that has the stuff you want) iMovie is for Macs only

and get McAffee... i have it, my computer works beautifully

But you may wanna consider waiting, windows 7 is coming out and it is rumored to be better than vista, i got the windows 7 beta for free and i notice no difference (except the tons of beta-bugs)... just throwing that out there... and you can always try a mac, thought you wanna make sure you have a mac and a pc for the stuff you cant do on a mac.... if you dont want to boot camp (which lets you run windows on a mac by rebooting and choosing a different OS)

There's windows movie maker that comes with the computer.... but good luck trying to find something as beautiful as iMovie, iMovie is a great fusion of simplicity and effective movie making.... yup, windows movie maker is all i can think of. you want to edit and make nice movies? get a mac, thats what they're known for
