hi there me my common law and my 3 siblings are wanting to go to spokane this weekend and none of us have our passports and it would take to long to get them i am wondering if you drive across the boarder if you need your passport how does that work we have never left canada
 
you DO need your passport to drive across the border. It takes about 10 working days to get a passport if you drop off your application at a service canada office, twice as long if you mail your application in.
 
You are required to have a passport to enter the United States. To do so otherwise would be illegal.
 
Yes, you do need your passports, so you aren't going anywhere this weekend. Make application, get your passports, and then make plans to travel.
