G'day

i live in northern australia out in the bush and need a good strong brave fierce dog with good stamina to take hunting and was wondering if a coloured english bull terrier would be a good choice. by the way i am hunting stuff like boars and foxes and rabbits and things so i need a dog with alot of heart thats easy to train and will give it their all no matter what and also be a fairly good guard dog so any information would be handy

cheers mate

Well depends on what kind of hunting, you could want a tracker, which a bloodhound would be good or any dog with "hound" in its name.
The johnsons bulldog makes a good pig/boar hunters

im guessing your doing this for a sport, because your can afford the internet, that means you dont need to hunt for food.

HUNTING AS A SPORT IS ILLIGAL IN ALL STATES OF AUSTRALIA

bull terriers are natural boar hunters, they'll tear a fox and rabbit to shreds though, I personally think you can't train the head thrashing outta them, too much to their nature.
but for boars, nothing beats them, they hold on without ever letting go except if you train it to stop, their good at controlling the position of their weight, so they can hold heavier, stronger animals then most others.

Cool, do you wear a hat with corks hanging off it

If your going to be doing something like this it depends on what terrier your after ? A Staffordshire bull terrier would be perfect for most hunting their powerful and aggressive dogs when trained for the purpose but can be great companions and very gentle through training also.

Good luck
