I am planning to buy an iphone 3g n i have several queries...?

1. can iphone 3g be unlocked and jailbroken as iphone is not supported in pakistan so ill need to unlock it.
2. unlocking is free or does it costs ... and can it be done personally or i need to give the iphone to peofessional.
3. can unlocking/jail breaking brick the device?
4. does unlocking/jail breaking void the warranty n is there a way to restore the device to the factory setting if some thing goes wrong?
5. i heard that iphone doesnt support flash n java .. so that would mean that iphone wont show youtube n facebook/orkut as they are on computer?
6. will the new ver. of os (iphone os 3.0) cause problems with jail broken / unlocked fones ?

1. It can be unlocked as long as the modem firmware is 2.28. 2.30 cannot be unlocked. to check go to settings>general>about>modem firmware. just dont upgrade the firmware to 2.2.1 when itunes asks you to because that will update the modem firmware too and make it impossible to unlock.
2. Its free. you just have to download quickpwn and unlock it and then use yellowsnow. This shows you how http://www.crunchgear.com/2009/01/01/how-to-unlock-your-3g-iphone/
3.I think it is possible to brick but i have never seen it happen,and you can restore it to the original settings if it does.
4. It does but you can restore it to factory condition using itunes.
5.It doesn't support java or flash. you have to use the youtube app to watch youtube videos. It can show facebook but it just wont have javascript.
6. the iphone os 3.0 will unjailbreak the phone but it will stay unlocked.
