I get bad marks. I have to throughout my essay show how these woman are similar, and different. The intro outlines similarities to the main plot. Here it goes....
The Landlady and Lamb to the Slaughter are too short stories by Roald Dahl. Both stories include the 'perfect crime' committed by a woman. The Landlady is a 'slightly dotty' middle aged woman who unusually murdered three teenage boys, similarly 'Lamb to the Slaughter' also contains an unusual murder. Mary Maloney is a caring housewife and the murder was not premeditated, unlike the Landlady. Each story uses a female protagonist and suggests the reader these characters are 'mad' or 'crazy' throughout the two stories.
