I want to purchase a local SIM card for use in my mobile phone which is a Nokia. The specific information I need is:
• What do I need to buy?
• Where do I buy it [eg what kind of store, who are the popular providers]?
• What are the most cost effective options for 3 months [I don’t anticipate I will need to use it very often – just for such things as bookings, enquiries or emergencies etc].
• If there are any relevant websites [eg of Italian providers] that are in English please provide the links.
2. Internet access
I will be taking a Dell Inspiron Mini 9 Netbook and need to know the most cost effective options for purchasing wireless internet connection that can be used anywhere [not just in a wi-fi hotspot]. In Australia I have a USB wireless modem that operates via a sim card on the mobile phone network whenever I am out of the office – I want to know if there is something similar in Italy that will work in the three regions I am going to be spending time in. The specific information I need is:
• What do I need to buy?
• Where do I buy it?
• What are most cost effective options for 3 months including the amount of download for the price?
• If there are any relevant websites [of Italian internet service providers] that are in English please provide the links.
