I am travelling to Ireland in May?

I have googled the weather for Ireland in May....it rains 18 days on average for the month of May
But the average daily temp is conflicting.

What i would like to know is

Do i take a Beanie, Gloves and Scarves?
or

Just a sweater or a jacket will suffice?

you can't predict irish weather, i have seen lovely mays where it was over 20C (70F) and sunny every day for 2 weeks and other mays where it rained every day

you probably won't need gloves and scarves but waterproof clothing and shoes for sure just in case, we have had a lovely february and march here so far this year so you never know you might get lucky
