I Am Unable To Install Bittorrent. What Should I Do?

I just bought a brand new Toshiba lap top today, and I'm trying to get everything set up. For some reason it won't let me install Bittorrent. I've tried to install it a couple of times, but when I did, it would give me an error message. The same thing happened when I tried to install iTunes, but after trying a few more times, I figured out that I had to save iTunes (instead of immediately opening it) to a folder first, then open the saved file to activate the download, and then it downloaded successfully. But with the Bittorrent, it doesn't have the option to save the download to a folder, so everytime I try to download it, I'll automatically get an error message. What can I do to properly install the program? Thanks!
I tried your suggestion, and used utorrent. That also didn't work. I opened the download link, and got the message saying the site is unavailabe or can't be found and to try again later :(
I use internet explorer as my browser

There are so many things that can cause this. You really have to be more specific with what the error message said and what internet browser you were using (internet explorer? firefox? google chrome??).

In a general sense, you should make sure you have administrative rights through the username you're logged in as. Take note that you're most likely using a 64 bit version of windows 7 and you need to try and use 64 bit versions of software that you download and install. However windows 7 64 bit is backwards compatible with a load of 32 bit programs. Perhaps one of the Toshiba junk programs that came with your OS install is interfering.

Edit your question and you'll get back some more specific answers.
