The ship departs from Port Canaveral. Then goes to the Bahams, St. Thomas, St Maarten, back to Port Canaveral. I'm getting married in St. Thomas on the beach. I'm just concerned this oil spill is going to affect everything. It's massive and I'm not trying to be selfish but I want a special wedding like every woman does. Please Help!

Don't fret. Whatever cruise line it is will make sure everyone has a good experience, even if they have to change the itinerary. They are used to dealing with hurricanes, civil unrest, swine flu and pirates. If anything they will do more to make sure everyone doesn't cancel. This is big business and they will not lose money.

no it would be a memorable thing if the water had oil in it as you cruised by, but get insurance if its not to late in case they cancel the cruise on you

you dont say where you are going, where the ship is leaving from, or why you think you should cancel so we cant answer your question.

Im assuming you are going to the caribbean though. The oil in the gulf is NOT going to affect the caribbean! If/when it moves, it is projected to move around the tip of Florida and up the east coast of the U.S. Your destinations will not be impacted, but you should check with the cruise line about what they plan to do if the departure port is affected. I would not cancel though, because if they have to cancel the cruise, they should give you a refund.

P.S. I would be more worried about the hurricanes!!
