I cannot get Nero Recode 2 to convert avi (xvid/mp3) files to Nero Digital -...

...Recode just hangs "analysing..." Nero Recode 2 purely appears to have an issue with importing AVI files: MPEG 1, 2 and 4, WMV files import OK. AVI (xvid and divx) just sit there with the analysing dialogue box showing.
Nero Vision works fine, it imports files no problem and converts them to Nero Digital.
Anybody got any help with this? Please answers only regarding Nero Recode - I know there are other converters on the market.

what r you planning to do when u convert them? if u are putting then on dvd then nero vision will put them on a dvd for u. e-mail if that dont help and give more info i might be able to help
