I cannot hibernate my XP SP2 and CD/DVD is not readable?

i know all about how to activate hibernation and how to disactivate it.....i disabled and enabled it again but cannot hibernate
 
After disabling hibernate, have you tried restarting your computer before you re-enable it? Check also that you have enough hard disk space to save your hiberfil.sys file.

When you hibernate your computer, do you press the Shift key in the Turn Off Computer menu?
