burner says dvd+/-r/w cd-r/w on it? I have an emachine with a dvd+/-r/w / cd-r/w burner. I want to burn movies to dvd to play in my dvd players..I know you have to convert them to dvd format, which I can do easily. but when I try to burn them with the many programs I have tried, like (nero,convertxtodvd,and the such) using dvd-r disks, it always says burn process failed. The only time it has worked was with dvd-rw disks. which many won't play on my dvd players..out of ten burnt on dvd-rw, about half won't play. everyone tells me I need to burn them to dvd-r to play on most dvd's..what do I need to do ? should I try dvd+r instead of dvd-r ? does that make a difference ? It's very frustrating..please help
