i can't open britannica ultimate reference suite dvd 2010?

I recently bought the 2010 version of the britannica ultimate reference suite (i know there is a 2011 version but i decided to go with the old one because it was cheaper.) anyway, I installed it and everything and at the end, it told me there were some errors in the installation and tells me to check the installation log (idk where that is) and when i double click it it does not open. WHAT CAN I DO?
