she's vietnamese and new to this country if this helps

Yes, you should pay. She didn't force you to drive. Did she have a gun to your head? No. Like someone else said, you could have easily called a cab or a sober friend. She's not being selfish, she want you to get her car fixed. God, grow up and pay for the damage YOU caused. If she were in your position, wouldn't you want HER to pay for your car she damaged? Yes, you would.
Alcohol only causes problems...as you can see.

First of all..you should have called your sis to pick both of you up from where ever you were drinking. Neither of you should have driven. Forget getting yourself killed for a second...but what about all the innocent people you put in harms way. I had a friend who became a paraplegic because of someone getting behind the wheel and driving drunk..she is now deceased. As far as the little damage to the car...you should consider yourself lucky that you are not behind bars or at the coroners...if your sis could have picked you up from her house...seems to me that she could have picked you up when it counted. Maybe the 2 of you should split the costs and condsider yourselves getting out cheaply...Don't call her names like that...and accept some responsibilitis for your own actions. It just might save someones life.
