...bad to mount it in the engine comp? I am currently packing stereo equipment into my 93 standard cab s-10. I have already installed a bigger alternator, and second battery, and still have the light dimming due to the three tvs ps3 3 12s yeah i know excessive. Now my question is would it be safe to install the capacitor into the engine compartment? there are a few spots in there that it would fit just wondering if there is anything that may go wrong with it

Rule of thumb
Wires have Electrical resistance therefore the longer the wire the more resistance
You want to have your capacitor as close to your amplifier as humanly possible to prevent as much resistance as possible. It almost defeats the purpose of having one if its far away.
