I've had an email, from my original service provider with 2 16 digit codes and instructions on how to use them but the instructions don't work - the first steps are -
1. Insert the original networks SIM card in the phone, then turn the phone on
2. Scroll Left, press * twice, scroll left
3. The Personalisation Menu will appear.
theres more steps then a footnote saying Note: Scroll Left, press * twice, scroll left must be completed simultaneously
However if I scroll left I get the text messaging shortcut, If I press * it just puts a * in the dialling screen and pressing them simultaneously is impossible - no matter what I do it registers that I've pressed one or the other first and I just get the dialling screen or the text messaging option.
Any ideas anyone??
I've tried pressing left first, then pressing star twice afterwards but nothing happens then either.... Just get the text messaging screen when I press left then nothing at all happens when I press star
OK so you seem to know what you're on about! - I managed to get the required menu up but when I input the code it says 'not allowed'. Am I doomed not to get it to work? should I be using the other SIM? (ie. from a locked network) the instructions clearly state 'original networks SIM', but I was sure the guy told me on the phone I'd need to put the different one in......
