I have an 800 watt peak power home theater and don't understand what it means...I know it's how much sound is going through but anyone know details. Just say whatever you know please!

800 peak power is totally maxed out...ya don't wanna listen at peak cuz ya will blow ya speakers in time ... the lower wattage listed on ya speakers is what ya gotta watch :)

That means it will consume electricity at a rate of 800 watt-hours. Basically, for home theaters, it will tell you how much power is going the speakers, the more power, the wider the range of frequencies and volume the speaker can produce.
