Absolutely not. They are same and you need only one. So you just need a proper video converting software to solve your problem. just convert AVI to Divx. And your source file will not changed. I know some video converter.

If all the files are the same when you play it then you don't need multiple copies. But I think in your case AVI file the file you want and the rest are some other supporting files which you really don't need.

The second set of files are actually a "multi file rar archive". You have to unpack the archive and in the end probably you'll get another video file, I presume a divx file.
