My best friend's Mom was a closet drunk and didn't know if she was coming or going...My friend used to steal her booze a cup at a time and every weekend we would have enough to get hammered.
My teenage kids have done it to me also. I have since learned to keep alchohol hidden if there is any in the house so they won't be able to drink it.
I've found diluted bottles in my pantry.
It is far easier to tell alcohol is diluted than it is to notice that some is missing.
If you get caught confess. Your parents will respect you more if you admit you were just curious and you are sorry. Lying and denying will make them not trust you and affect the way they treat you. Take whatever punishment they dish out and don't do it again.
