I emailed my boyfriend's wife and she responded with, "good luck" with your...

...future, why would she say that? My boyfriend of nearly 2 years hid the fact that he was married, but separated and living a different residence from his wife. Neither me or my family ever suspected he was married, until an article appeared in national newspaper giving his name and job title and his marriage to the well-known wife. He told me and he and wife have an agreement to keep up the marriage facade in public, and do whatever they want behind closed doors. I was hurt by this and decided to email the wife to expose the situation from one women to another. I called her at her job before I sent the email, never telling her the exact details of what was in the message. I sent her the email and her response to me was "I would appreciate if you do not contact me at my home or work and Good Luck with your future". I gave her my name and cell, if she wanted to talk but she never followed-up. A women is being told that her husband has been dating another women and her response was not outrage or disbelief ....WHY? I need some feedback

Maybe your boyfriend was telling the truth...there are certain situations where a married couple have a reputation and unfortunately for the meantime have to put on a smiling face in the public for it. The wife obviously doesn't want to be bothered with hearing about his husband's personal life because they are in fact separated. Think about celebrities. You ever hear about rumors of a couple breaking up and they deny it for months? Remember Madonna and Guy Ritchie denying rumors of divorce? In the public eye, some people would rather keep details of their relationship private.

It's just a facade they're keeping up for public's sake.

However if you are your bf do indeed go any further, he will have to get a divorce to be totally available for you. Otherwise if this facade continues - i guarantee there is nothing good for you in this - no matter how much the wife doesn't care. Careful!

Because obviously he is telling the truth. He and his wife are seperated and living their own lives. Sometimes a couple does not go through with the divorce for financial or reputation reasons. I think the estranged wife made this clear.
