In older engines this happens, contaminants get down into the oil faster. I would worry about it, the vehicle is pretty old now, i have older vehicles that do this well, maybe the seals aren't as good as they once were, dont sweat it. Its an old car, just keeping on changing it regularly and you will be just fine.

If you want to see something really neat pull your rocker shafts off and look at whats inside them. Even detergent oils can't carry all the carbon and dirt out when you change the oil, Any place where oil can pool or sit you will get fallout of material, your new oil will pick up some of this as well as fresh.
